Evaluation of the Effect Mulching Practice Under Furrow Irrigation on Growth, Yield and Water Productivity of Head Cabbage at Adami Tulu Agricultural Research Center

The experiment was under taken among the amount of water and mulching practice at Adami Tulu Agricultural Research Center experimental site for head cabbage production. With objective to investigate evaluate effect furrow irrigation level on productivity, yield component cabbage. A field designed as a two factor factorial (2*4) in RCBD, replicated three times. factors were material. Irrigation applied furrows using Parshal flume from ditch with similar inflow rate, but application varies. Results obtained revealed that Application wheat straw mulch plastic significantly increased growth Straw produced total 9.68 ton/ha which not different White (9.69ton/ha). Total harvested black 9.33ton/ha, showed insignificant difference between High 16.60ton/ha recorded full is 100%ETc when half 9.4ton/ha significant level. Water productivity 4.3kg/m3 3.8kg/m3 50%ETc or respectively. It found saved 50% compared can irrigate additional land saved.
